Metro, bus and RER
The fastest, cheapest and most convenient way of getting around in Paris! Tickets for zones 1 and 2 (the center): 1,60€ for a single ticket or 11,40€ for a “carnet” of 10 tickets
If using public transport every day, monthly or annual passes are much less costly: for example the monthly “pass Navigo” costs 56,60€ (zones 1 and 2) and the 9 month Carte ImaginR 31,95€ per month (zones 1 and 2 during weekdays and all zones on holidays and weekends). The application form for carte ImagineR can be obtained at every metro station and has to be returned to Paris transport authority RATP.

pedal around a bit and return it at another station. For journeys of less than 30 minutes, it’s free!

If you miss the last metro...
During the week, the last metros leave at around 0h40, on Fridays, Saturdays and the evenings before holidays at around 01h40.
Cheap: the night busses “Noctilien”: the network operates between 0h30 and 5h30 in the morning on special lines. Ticket prices are the same as during the day (1,60€ single fare in zone 1)
More expensive: taxis: taxis can be rare in certain areas late at night. The easiest way to find one is often walking to a large street intersection, to use one of the taxi stands or to call a taxi company:
Les taxis bleus: 0 891 70 10 10
Les taxis G7 : 01 47 39 47 39
